Hello I am Luca Del Priore, I majored in Multimedia Programming and Design at BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College). I would like a career that allows me to be creative and express myself through digital design. I do photography, as a hobby but would love to incorporate it into my professional work.

Hokusai Card 2020

A postcard created to advertise a hypothetical Hokusai exhibit at the MET. Hokusai is a Japanese painter and printmaker from the Edo period. His work is incorporated into the background of the card. Different fonts were used to create hierarchy and flow to the card. I chose a font that I felt would fit with the period Hokusai was from, Viner Hand ITC. The body font is Constantia to be similar to Viner but be easier to read at a smaller size.

Maze Game 2021

This is a proof of concept for a 3D game using OpenGLfor 3D rendering. It is a first person game and the player uses their keyboard to move around the space ( “WASD”to move; left and right arrow keys to turn the camera). The goal is to make it to the end of the maze. I created the 3D objects and applied textures that I found online on http://www.textures4photoshop.com under the name “Seamless Brick Wall Game Texture Free” in p5.js. The walls have collision detection to prevent the user from leaving the maze.

Dodging Game 2021

In this game, the player takes control of a spaceship and has to dodge aliens. The player uses their keyboard (“WASD”) to control the ship as the aliens slowly increase in speed. I used sprites I made in Piskel, a pixel art creation website, to add some animation. Random arrays are used to display enemies on the screen for the player to dodge. Once the aliens reach max speed the array starts to randomize to make the game more difficult.

Typology 2021

Camera Used: Canon Eos T7 Rebel

I created a typology project based on the flowers found in New York City. I tried to focus closely on the flowers - something we rarely do in the city. Flowers look completely different up close. I wanted to showcase the different shapes and colors of flowers that I found in this urban setting.
